ist Autorin, systemische Denkerin und Erfinderin des Veto Prinzips, CEO Veto Institut, ehemalige Theaterpädagogin und Lehrerin.
Maike Plath ist die Begründerin des Veto Prinzips. Ihr umfangreiches Konzept zur selbstwertbasierten Führung entwickelte sie aus der 10-jährigen Praxis als Lehrerin an einer sogenannten „Brennpunktschule“ in Berlin Neukölln. Das Veto Institut widmet sich der Weitergabe des Konzepts an Erwachsene mit Führungs-, Erziehungs- und Bildungsverantwortung mit dem Ziel Beziehungs- und Demokratiefähigkeit in der Gesellschaft nachhaltig zu stärken.

Maike Plath is an author, systemic thinker, and the inventor of the Veto Principle, CEO of the Veto Institute, and a former drama educator and teacher.
Maike Plath is the founder of the Veto Principle. She developed her comprehensive concept of self-worth-based leadership from ten years of practice as a teacher at a so-called „problem school“ in Berlin-Neukölln. The Veto Institute is dedicated to passing this concept on to adults with responsibility for leadership, parenting, and education, with the goal of sustainably strengthening the capacity for relationships and democracy in society.
Additional information: In 2017, Rosa von Praunheim portrayed her work in the feature film Act! Wer bin ich? (Act! Who Am I?). Maike Plath’s concept is set out in 12 publications and numerous specialist articles.
Maike Plath worked from 1998 to 2013 as a teacher for Theater and German Language in lower secondary school in Neukölln, Berlin (D). She realized numerous of dramatic productions developed by the groups.
For years she has experience in participatory methods and came up with biographical theater that empowers young people to design artistic processes on their own initiative and to make their aims visible.
Several books dealing with biographical methods were published; Maike Plath has been working in the board of the »Bundesverband Theater in Schulen» (BVTS, 2008-2012) and in the jury for the »Theatertreffen der Jugend Berlin» (Berliner Festspiele, 2008-2016). She is artistic director of the »Theater Jugendclub at Heimathafen Neukölln» and on the board of ACT e.V. Berlin. Besides she is teaching her methods all over Germany and other european countries. Theater education to her is the most effective means of education.
Since 2014, Maike Plath has been responsible for the conception and implementation of the education program »LernKünste» for artists and cultural workers (funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research) in cooperation with the Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin.
